Circular Economy Makerspace & Innovation Hub

The Guam Green Growth Circular Economy Makerspace and Innovation Hub (G3 Makerspace) has started a campaign to collect recyclable plastics in support of a new project to refurbish school desks. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable solution to a common problem in schools and address a significant challenge in waste management on island.

Zachary Mendiola, a dedicated student intern from the University of Guam Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant, has spent the past five months making a significant impact at the Guam Green Growth (G3) Circular Economy Makerspace and Innovation Hub. His transformative experience at the cutting-edge facility has not only honed his skills in sustainable practices but also solidified his passion for environmental stewardship on Guam.

Entrepreneurs participating in the Guam Unique Merchandise and Art (GUMA) training program received an insightful presentation today from the Guam Green Growth (G3) Circular Economy Makerspace and Innovation Hub team. The session, a long-standing component of the GUMA curriculum, highlighted the principles of the circular economy and the opportunities it presents for local artisans and businesses.
