Guam Green Growth Steering Committee Co-chair Austin Shelton Ph.D. highlights the newest members of the Conservation Corps program at the launch event. The workforce development program has welcomed over 100 graduates since its inception including members of the G3 Conservation Corps, the G3 Local2030 Islands Network Conservation Corps, the G3 GROW Corps, G3 Art Corps, and G3 Kupu Corps.
CNMI Green Growth Co-Chair Galvin De Leon Guerrero Ed.D. addresses the debut cohort of the CNMI Green Growth Kupu Conservation Corps during the launch event held on the NMC Campus. The group features members who will be hosted by the American Memorial Park and DLNR CNMI Forestry learning skills and techniques to help them develop in the green economy.

The Maila Ta Fan Chesa event showcases locally sourced ingredients such as calamansi, lemmai, mansanita, donne’ peppers, and aquaculture-raised tilapia from the UOG Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant. The annual event was held at the Hyatt Regency Guam.

This year’s event was held at the Hyatt Regency Guam and organized by the Micronesian Chefs Association in partnership with the American Culinary Federation and, for the first time, the UOG Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant.

UOG Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant Research Education and Extension Fellow Napu Blas assists during the workshop at the G3 Makerspace. The 3D printing workshop welcomed participants from many age groups including students and local makers.
